Ethiopia inaugurates kasanchis project for urban transformation
Ethiopia Prime Minister, Abiy Ahmed has inaugurated the Kasanchis segment of Addis Ababa’s corridor development project, signalling a major step in the city’s urban transformation.
Ahmed emphasised the government’s dedication to improving living standards, ensuring families transition to better-equipped neighbourhoods.
He noted that, “The swift completion of the Kasanchis project sets a benchmark for future smart city initiatives, aligning with Ethiopia’s ambition for sustainable, eco-friendly, and advanced urban spaces.
“The revitalised corridor marks progress in Ethiopia’s smart city vision, prioritising sustainability and community welfare.”
He reiterated that such advancements were vital in shaping a brighter future, particularly for the next generation.
Earlier, Ethiopia government had launched a 4-year national soil revival programme to secure its agricultural future.
The government said the programme would be concentrated in three vulnerable regions of Amhara, Oromia, and Central Ethiopia.
