About 185,000 Ethiopian children are suffering from the deadliest form of malnutrition.

According to a Charity known as Save the Children, children especially younger ones, are suffering the most from famine.

The director of Save the Children’s country Xavier Joubert said the expanding drought is wearing down their resilience already weakened by conflict and Covid.

The charity said With four rainy seasons already missed, and a fifth likely,” 30 million Ethiopians need humanitarian assistance.

With much of Ethiopia gripped by the worst drought in 40 years, parts of neighbouring Kenya and Somalia are also affected by drought.
