Ex-President Jonathan Urges Peaceful, Credible Côte d’Ivoire Election

The Nigerian former President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, has urged the Cote D’Vore citizens, a peaceful and credible election ahead of the nation Presidential election that will hold in October 2025.

He made the statement during a stakeholders meeting immediately he arrived Abidjan with other members of the West African Elders Forum, (WAEF).

According to him, “We are pleased to offer our support and encouragement to the nation’s consensus building efforts towards a peaceful, credible election in Cote d’Ivoire and democratic consolidation in the subregion.”

However, the Pre-Election Mediation Mission was led by His Excellency, Mr. Yayi Boni, former President of the Republic of Benin, when they arrived in the Ivorian capital city, today, ahead of the scheduled Ivorian October 2025 Presidential election.
