The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) has shared the sum of ₦1.818 trillion to the three tiers of government (the Federal, State, and Local Governments) as Federation Allocation for the month of June 2025 from a gross total of ₦4.232 trillion.

The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) made this known via a communique issued at the end of its July 2025 meeting chaired by the Finance Minister and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr Wale Edun.
A Breakdown
From the stated amount inclusive of Gross Statutory Revenue, Value Added Tax (VAT), Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL), Exchange Difference, and ₦100.000 Billion Augmentation from Non-Mineral Revenue, the Federal Government of Nigeria received ₦645.383 billion; the state governments received ₦607.417 billion; the Local Government Councils got ₦444.853 billion, while the oil-producing states received ₦120.759 billion as derivation (13% of mineral revenue).
The sum of ₦162.786 billion was given for the cost of collection, while ₦2.251 trillion was allocated for Transfers Intervention and Refunds.
Gross Revenue from VAT
According to the communique, the Gross Revenue available from the Value Added Tax (VAT) for the month of June 2025 was ₦678.165 billion as against ₦742.820 billion distributed in the preceeding month, resulting in a decrease of ₦64.655 billion.
From that amount, the sum of ₦27.127 billion was allocated for the cost of collection, while the sum of ₦19.531 billion was given for Transfers, Intervention, and Refunds.
The remaining sum of ₦631.507 billion was distributed to the three tiers of government, of which the Federal Government of Nigeria got ₦94.726 billion, as the state governments received ₦315.754 billion while the Local Government Councils got ₦221.027 billion.
Gross Statutory Revenue
Accordingly, the Gross Statutory Revenue of ₦3.385 trillion received for the month was higher than the sum of ₦2.094 trillion received in the previous month by ₦1.390 trillion. From the stated amount, the sum of ₦134.444 billion was allocated for the cost of collection and a total sum of ₦2.231 trillion for Transfers, Intervention and Refunds.
The remaining balance of ₦1.018 trillion was distributed as follows to the three tiers of government: the Federal Government of Nigeria got the sum of ₦474.455 billion; states received ₦240.650 billion; the sum of ₦185.531 billion was allocated to Local Government Councils, while ₦118.256 billion was given to Derivation Revenue (13% mineral-producing states).
Electronic Money Transfer Levy
Also, the sum of ₦30.380 billion from Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL) was distributed to the three (3) tiers of government as follows: the Federal Government of Nigeria received ₦4.375 billion; states got ₦14.582 billion; the Local Government Councils received ₦10.208 billion, while ₦1.215 billion was allocated for Cost of Collection.
