Friesland Campina Wamco Nigeria says it is to partner with Kire Integrated Farms Ltd. on dairy production in commercial quantity in Osun.

Managing Director of the firm, Mr Roger Adou, stated this when he led a team of the company’s officials to Kire Integrated Farms Ltd. in Ikore on Wednesday.

He said that the partnership would help in expanding diary production and ensuring that the demands for high quality products in the state were met.

According to him, both organisations share the vision of promoting agricultural sustainability, innovation and economic development.

Adou said investing in diary production would go a long way in strengthening food security, creating jobs and fostering economic prosperity in the state.

“I believe our partnership will add value to the state in terms of internally generated revenue (IGR) and provision of food security,’’ he said.

In his response, Chairman of Kire Farms Ltd., Mr Benedict Alabi, commended Friesland Campina Wamco for the partnership.

According to Alabi, diary business comes with huge advantage to both the investors and the state.

Alabi, however, called for more investments in the agricultural sector in order to help increase the state’s IGR and ensure food security, among other benefits.
