The wife of the Niger State Governor in north-central Nigeria, Hajiya Fatima Umaru Bago, announced that the state government has designed plans for children which will be included in several upcoming policies and programs concerning the children in the state.

Hajiya Fatima Bago stated this after visiting the Niger State Government Orphanage home in Minna, the state capital, to mark the governor’s first year in office.

She said these government plans will greatly improve the well-being and development of children across the state.

“This is just the beginning. We haven’t started anything serious yet. We have many plans for the children, and they will be included in our vision for a new Niger. Better days are ahead for the children of Niger State,” Fatima Bago added.

Bago also mentioned that the Ministry of Women’s Affairs will collaborate with the orphanage management to repair some damaged parts of the orphanage.

Hajiya Fatima Umar Bago provided food items to the children which included rice, beans, noodles, vegetable oil, toiletries, and medication.
