As indigenous residents of Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory (FCT) decide who takes charge of their affairs in the next four years, mixed reactions trail the conduct of the election process in the six area councils.
Although most of the polling units started voting early, there were reports of voter apathy in some polling units.
At the polling unit located in front of the Federal Fire Service office, Gabriel Ketutu, an Assistant Presiding Officer (APO I) at the unit, confirmed that voting started on time even though party agents arrived later than expected.

He also confirmed that all election materials were delivered on time and that there have been no technical issues with the voting machines.
The Ward-City Center, Area 10 Post Office, with polling unit 018, recorded a large turnout of voters.

According to the Independent National Election Commission (INEC) Ad-hoc staff on the ground, the Bi-modal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) could not recognize finger print of voters, so they used facial cognition to accredit the voters.
