The Minister of the Nigerian Federal Capital Territory, Malam Mohammed Musa Bello has commended the African Socio-Cultural Development Foundation and called for the expansion of 4IR Education Africa initiative in the Federal capital Territory, FCT.
The Minister gave the commendation at an event organised by the 4IR Education Africa in collaboration with the FCT Secondary Education Board held in Abuja Nigeria’s capital.
The Minister who was represented by the Secretary, Education Secretariat, Alhaji Sani Dahir El-katuzu commended the organisation for their benevolence and patriotism for training hundreds of students in the four selected schools.
He added that more schools especially those in the rural areas be included in the scheme of the education program.
The Minister however promised to provide support for the full implementation and actualisation of 4IR Education Africa in the Fct with the needed assistance.
On her part, the Director FCT Secondary Education Board, Mrs Nanre Emeje while commended the efforts of the organisation called on the students and parents to utilize the opportunity to embrace the 4ir Education saying that, ” the children that we are talking about are technologically inclined so the forth industrial revolution education is the right way to go because they represent the next generation z“.
Earlier, the Chief Executive Officer of the African Socio-Cultural Development Foundation Dr. Anthony Christopher Chibo motivated by the need to close the gap in the technological advancement of the western world when compared to Africa launched the 4IR Education Africa in the Fct in collaboration with the FCT – Secondary education Board last year.
A total of 84 students out the 4 selected schools in the Fct for the training of the 4IR Education Africa progress to the next level of the program designed to enable the youths compete favourably with their counterparts elsewhere in the world.
The partnership between the FCT – SEB and the African Socio – Cultural Development Foundation show cased the generation to champion the next cause of civilization in Africa.
According to him, “This marks the beginning of the second phase of the 4IR Education Africa an introduction into the practical application of data science, Graphics and expose them further to Nano and Bio technology”.
He disclosed that scholarships have been secured for ten successful students who will excel during the training to study any course of the choosing at the advance level of education in any part of the world.
