FCT-SEB Flags off Distribution of Education Instructional Materials to schools

The Nigerian Federal Capital Territory Administration, FCTA, has flagged off the distribution of Instructional materials in various subject for on-ward distribution to all the senior secondary schools in FCT.
The materials includes, Science, Home Economics, Sporting materials, Stationeries and so on.
Speaking during the event, the Chairman, FCT Secondary Education Board, Mr Yahaya Musa Muhammad expressed his appreciation to the FCT Minister, Mallam Muhammad Musa Bello for the quick intervention for the procurement of the materials and other various ongoing projects in the Schools which are at different stages of completion.
He tasked the Principals to ensure the safety of the materials while imbibing maintenance culture. He also tasked them as custodians of the materials to put them into judicious use in order to achieve the purpose it was meant for which is to enhance the teaching and learning process for the benefit of the Students and Teachers.
The SEB chairman said in observance of the Covid-19 protocol, few Schools were invited for the flag off ceremony. He therefore directed other Schools to ensure timely collections of their materials simultaneously.
Historic event
Earlier, the Director/Secretary of the Board, Mrs. Nanre Emeje described the event as historic adding that teaching and learning requires a lot and one must not toy with it.
She also thanked the FCT Minister, Mallam Muhammad Musa Bello who she said always feels their pulse and ensures that whatever is needed are always provided.
Emeje explained that the Boarding Schools will get kitchen utensils such as industrial cookers, industrial pots, refrigerators, microwaves, ceramic plates among others. More so they will also receive sporting items which includes measuring tape, relay batons, Jersey, Balls, cross bars among other materials which will be distributed while other items from science equipment to be distributed are retord stand complete,Beaker 250 ml, conical flask 250 ml, Human skeleton model, eye model and so on. And from Home Economics it will include Gas cooker, stove, Gas cylinders, butterfly sewing machines,and refrigerators.
She said the provision of all these materials will go along way in making teaching and learning more impactful.
Responding on behalf of the Principals, the Principal of Government Girls Secondary School, Dutse, who is also the leader of SEB School Principals, Hajiya Fatima Mohammed thanked the Hon. Minister for FCT, the Chairman and management of FCT Secondary Education Board for the kind gesture assuring that, they will continue to intensify their efforts towards effective and efficient teaching and learning process which will produce all round successful students in FCT.
