A Security Expert and Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Federal Capital Territory Enhanced Security, Crime and Accident Prevention Programme, FCT ESCAP, Prosper Okafor has called for a stronger collaboration of Security Agencies with private security initiatives for optimal security in the nation’s capital and its environs.

Mr Okafor made the call in an interview with Journalists in Abuja Nigeria’s capital.

Okafor expressed the readiness of organisation to partner with the Office of the Minister of FCT, military, police and other security agencies in intelligence gathering network for a more secured FCT.

The Expert commended Nigeria’s security agencies and operatives for their rapid responses to terrorism and banditry. He called for synergy with private security initiatives for improved security architecture in FCT.

It is ideal for the Nigerian government through the military, police and other security agencies to collaborate with some of us who have the security acumen to tackle insecurity in FCT and other parts of the country.

“I have the capacity to provide at least intelligent information through the volunteers and members of my NGO scattered all over FCT and environs if given the opportunity,” he said.

Okafor who reiterated the imperatives of engaging private security initiatives like FCT ESCAP Programme, said that security is everybody’s business.

According to him, “government cannot do it alone but with a collaboration with us and we are fully ready and willing for collaborations for enhanced security.”

He condemned the spate of insecurity in FCT calling for an unbridled and result oriented approach to containing it.
