The FCT Youths Coalition for Tinubu/ Shettima on Friday rolled out the drums, marching through the streets of Abuja in celebration of Bola Tinubu and Kashim Shettima’s victory at the just concluded presidential polls.
The victory rally came against the backdrop of an uneasy calm that had trailed the announcement by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) across the the country, including the nation’s capital.
The Convener of FCT Youths Coalition for Tinubu and Shettima, Bitrus Garki, said the Abuja youths were celebrating because of the known capacity of the President-elect in delivering good governance and human capital development.
“Abuja indigenes believe that the Tinubu-led administration would bring prosperity to the people and also address all grievances that lead to violent agitation.
“The Abuja youths have faith in the incoming administration of Bola Tinubu and Kashim Shettima to bring about the inclusion that the original inhabitants of Abuja have long yearned for,” he affirmed.
Garki lamented that the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) indigenous people have continued to be marginalized in the distribution of government appointments and other benefits of governance.
While he assured the President-elect and his team of the youths’ support, he also demanded that Abuja indigenes be given their rightful place in the government.
The Director of Operations, APC Presidential Campaign Council in FCT, Mohammed Musa,  said that Abuja indigenes and residents have high expectations, which they hope the President-elect would fulfil.
