FCTA pledges to upgrade learning process for greater efficiency

As part of the strategies to ensure that Secondary education is given the attention it deserves, the Federal Capital Territory Secondary Education Board, (SEB),  has reiterated the commitment of the administration towards making the teaching and learning environment better and the process effective and efficient.

 

The Director of SEB, Dr Sani Mohammed Ladan stated this in an interview with Journalists in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.

 

Dr Ladan stressed the imperative of quality Education which must be impactful to the students while creating a conducive learning environment for both the teachers and students.

 

According to him, he has met with the Staff to win their confidence and urged them to work assiduously as a team to achieve the mandate of the Board.

 

He stated that, new innovations and creativity is being put in place in the smooth operations of the Board assuring Staff of the management’s commitment towards job satisfaction.

 

He explained that training and re-training is key to the development of the teaching profession and the Board is set to roll out various capacity building in this regard.

 

He stated further that since he assumed office, he has daily embarked on the spot assessment of schools especially the Boarding Schools and monitor their feeding process to ensure it is not short of the expected standard and nourishment.

 

He added that, the Balancing of Subject Teachers intervention initiative embarked upon will ease the Teachers stress and bring out the best from them.

 

Ladan commended principals and teachers on the field for their commitment towards making the teaching and learning process in FCT Schools a point of positive reference while assuring the media of positive engagement in the Board’s activities for more awareness and active participation of all education stakeholders.
