A Nigerian Lawmakler representing Chibok, Damboa and Gwoza Federal constituency, in Borno State, Ahmed Ja Babawo has empowered youths in his constituency.
At the empowerment programme that was held at the Government house in Maiduguri, Honorable Ahmed Ja Babawo, appreciated governor Zulum for his mentorship.
He said, “I recalled how the governor advised me to make my people as my first priority, He said riches is given by God, however to be a philanthropist is the choice of men”.
He acknowledged that the governor has set a standard which he was following.
According to him, the developmental agenda of the governor has propelled them to work.
Babawo further stated that the governor’s empowerment programme for youth, women and less priviledge has made the legislators to do the bits they can to support him.
He recounted items for the empowerment programme as; 300 refrigerators/freezers donated by National Centre for Women Development, 16 fridges donated by his friends, 100 keke Napep, 13 commercial vehicles donated to be given to 13 people to enable them fend for themselves as well as 4 ambulance vehicles which would be donated across his constituencies.
The lawmaker added that, the distribution of the 4 ambulance vehicles was in collaboration with the governor’s intention to have ambulance vehicles in all the general hospitals in the State.
The Chairman of the occasion and elder statesman, Alhaji Kaumi Damboa commended Babawo, affirming that the people of Chibok, Damboa Gwoza have no regrets electing him.
He pledged his loyalty and support for Babawo while also applauding him as one of the best member of the House of Representatives in the state.

The Borno State governor, Professor Babagana Zulum, who also greased the occasion and performed the symbolic presentation of the items, appreciated the kind gesture by the Honourable and urge all the beneficiaries to make use of the items judiciously.
The governor pledged his continuous support towards empowering to strengthen the people to be financially stable in running their daily activities.
