Macaulay was the statistical anchor for D’Tigress throughout a gruelling five-game campaign in France. Her inclusion in the tournament’s elite lineup was backed by a string of dominant performances. She finished the qualifiers as Nigeria’s leading performer.

Her campaign was highlighted by a spectacular 22-point performance against South Korea and a clinical 13-point, 6-rebound outing in the opening victory over Colombia.

Even in the narrow losses to powerhouses France and Germany, Macaulay remained a consistent scoring threat and a defensive wall in the paint.

For D’Tigress, the qualifying tournament served as a vital high-level training ground.

Having already secured their spot at the 2026 FIBA Women’s World Cup in Berlin as five-time defending African champions, the team used the Lyon event to integrate new players and test tactical rotations.
