First Lady Calls for Peaceful Coexistence Among Nigerians

Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu has called on Nigerians to toe the line of peaceful coexistence; citing the Holy Bible which underscores peace as a prerequisite for prosperity.

Mrs Tinubu stated this in Kaduna during the annual distribution of food items to the Christian Northern Nigeria Political Forum (CNNPF) for the Christmas and New Year Celebrations.

The First Lady said that whatever the narrative in the world is presently, she was optimistic it is for the good of the Nation.

“Let us all stay and make Nigeria great again. Good things are already happening in this country,” she said.

Mrs Tinubu commended the various steps taken by the Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, to achieve religious harmony in the state, as she urged other states to emulate Kaduna State.

“I want to use this opportunity to call on all Nigerians to live in peace with one another and to be our brothers’ keepers. Let us remember that true nation-building is only possible where peace and harmony prevail” she said.

The First Lady, seized the opportunity to commend members of the creative industry for making Nigeria proud.

She said with the level of the successes they are achieving, they should join forces with the government to help more Nigerians.

“Our stars should please come and join us in building this nation. I am available, if they want me to partner with them,” she pledged.

Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, described the duo of President Bola Tinubu and his wife Oluremi as true lovers of Nigeria.

“Together, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Senator Oluremi Tinubu exemplify a leadership anchored in service, compassion, and national unity.

“Their shared commitment to the welfare of
Nigerians continues to inspire confidence, strengthen social cohesion, and reaffirm our collective belief in a better, more inclusive future for our country.

“What makes Her Excellency’s philanthropy particularly remarkable is its inclusiveness. Her compassion knows no religious, ethnic, or regional boundaries. Across Nigeria, Muslims and Christians alike have benefited from her generosity, reinforcing the timeless truth that service to humanity
transcends all divisions,” he said.

The governor of Benue State Rev. Father Hyacinth Alia, who was at the event noted that Kaduna State knows greater peace now due to the determination and conscientiousness of the Governor, who has a good example in the President of the Nation.

The National Coordinator of the CNNPF, Ibrahim Itodo commended President Bola Tinubu for sustaining the nations unity. He also prayed for the successful re-election of the President in 2027.

He appealed to Northern Governors to emulate the strategy of the Kaduna State Governor to enhance peaceful coexistence in their States.

The annual distribution of food items to the Christian Northern Nigeria Political Forum, is a collaboration between the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Political and Other Matters, Alhaji Ibrahim Masari and the Office of the First Lady of Nigeria.

This year’s programme had over 48,000 beneficiaries from the 19 Northern States.
