Nigeria’s First Lady, Mrs Oluremi Tinubu, has expressed sadness over the loss of lives in Niger State, following the explosion of a tanker loaded with petrol.
In a message, Mrs Tinubu commiserated with the government and people of Niger State, especially the families of those who were burnt to death.
She said: “I commiserate with the Governor of Niger State, His Excellency Mohammed Umar Bago, and the people of Niger State on the tragic loss of lives and properties which occurred on Sunday 8th September, 2024, as a result of the tanker explosion.
“My thoughts and prayers are with you all, especially the people of Agaie Area in North-Central Local Government Area, Niger State.”
The First Lady prayed for the repose of the souls of the deceased.
“I pray that Almighty Allah grants the families and loved ones of those who lost their lives the strength and fortitude to bear the painful loss.
“May Allah grant them all Aljannah Firdaus,” she added.

Recall that an explosion occurred in Agaie Local Government Area of Niger State, on Sunday morning when a tanker collided with a trailer transporting cows to the southern part of the country.
