“Sokoto State has been too kind to me and I see myself as part of them, same as they see themselves as part of me, and I don’t have anything to qualify love they have for me neither do I have to qualify the love I have for them. Since when I came to Sokoto they have given me all the necessary support,” Idris said.

The former Governor said it shows that Sokoto people are very straight minded human being and there is unity in  Nigeria especially by selecting him all the way from Kogi State by Sultan of Sokoto Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar the III for the title.

He explained that as an Ambassador, he would use the opportunity to promote peace and unity among Nigerians for sustainable security and development.
