A Former Governor of Nasarawa State, Senator Tanko Al-Makura has charged a leading support group of the All Progressives Congress, APC, the National Integrity Movement, ANIM, to commence the deployment of members not only at the top but to the grassroots in Nigeria.

Senator Al-Makura told the group to make sure their supporters across the country are brought to bear in affecting the performance of their election.

The Senator gave the charge when the Executive members of ANIM led by its National Leader, Mr. Abubakar Fakai paid him a courtesy visit in Abuja Nigeria’s capital.

The APC chieftain assured the group that he would continue to work closely with them, counsel, advise and ensure that campaigns are taken to their logical conclusion.

” What we need to showcase as we inch to the election is to consider issues rather than frivolous things and we have so many issues to showcase, so many things APC has done to uplift this country, forget about the opposition that isolates some of the challenges in the joining toward 2023 and over blow them and deliberately forget the major improvement this party has done.

You can prove beyond doubt that Asiwaju and Shettima have two attributes that stand him clearly above any other candidates, this man was a soldier of democracy, this is a man who saw democracy and he stood up to the challenges and make so many sacrifices including this country to ensure that democracy is surviving in this country.”

Al-Makura enjoyed the group to continue to sustain the gains of the Party.

Secure the Future

He also called on them to try to secure the future by quitting the party to people that they trust that has a good pedigree for good Governance which he said couldn’t be a better pair than Ahmed Bola Tinubu and Kasim Shettima.

According to him, ” the versatility which some of your Members are known with has put no one in doubt as to the effectiveness and value addition you will be able to bring into APC with you being carried along in the scheme of things.

“I  am humble because when I look across the board, I can see people who have held the position, who has lost position in guest to add value to our party but despite all the challenges that are eminent in the journey we consider the party greater than anyone else.

” I’m also part of the philosophy, the ideology of yours so you can count me as a bonafide member of ANIM,” he stated.

While making his remark, the National leader of the group,  Abubakar Fakai, noted that the members believed in the APC ideology and were ready to work and ensure its victory in the presidential poll.

Build Strong Partnership

Honourable Fakai explained that their mission was also to build strong partnerships, unity, and understanding among party stakeholders across the country and identify means and measures of mobilising more people to support party candidates and create more political awareness among citizens ahead of the general election.

He further disclosed that the group would also identify party challenges and problems, and provide mechanisms that proffer solutions and the best way to amicably resolve them at the party level.

The National Leader further revealed that the group would bring about a new paradigm shift that adopts a bottom-top approach capable of identifying, strengthening, showcasing, and reinforcing the role of party loyalists and supporters at all levels.

Earlier, a member of the group who is also a member of the Edo State House of Assembly, Honourable Chris Eleka, tasked the group to go back to the drawing board and map out plans that would lead APC to victory come 2023.

He enjoyed the group visiting all the nooks and crannies of the country and telling the success stories of the party and how far the party has performed in the last seven years.

Honourable Chris also explained that they would serve as an advocacy platform that would engage the people thereby alleviating their grievances.
