A forum of former governors from Nigeria’s South Eastern states has endorsed President Bola Tinubu for next year’s presidential election.

In a communique issued at the end of their meeting in Enugu, the Minister of Works and immediate past governor of Ebonyi State, Engr. David Umahi said the forum commends the present Governors of the zone for also supporting President Tinubu’s second term bid.

Presenting the communique, Umahi said, “We boldly say that all the governors of the southeast zone are supporting Mr. President’s re-election, and we are very grateful for them because this is strategic.”

He also said, “And for this, we will continue to give them support, and I believe that our next meeting, which will embrace most of the former governors, will be in the next two weeks.”

The forum further commended President Tinubu for the current infrastructural revolution in the southeast and also for appointing people from the area to political positions.
