Foundation awards scholarships to 11 Youths in Anambra

Jubilations erupted in Uhudim Uhuobo community, Okija, in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State, as the Chief Executive Officer of Akpoazaa Foundation, Frank Igbojindu, awarded scholarships to 11 deserving students during a heartfelt recent Mother’s Day celebration.

The philanthropic initiative unfolded as Igbojindu honored his maternal lineage, visiting the Okoye family to recognize Mrs. Elizabeth Okoye, who was conferred the title Nne Ora by the Anglican Church.

During this special occasion, Igbojindu paid tribute to the vital roles mothers play within families and communities, expressing gratitude for their unwavering efforts in nurturing the next generation. He emphasized that this event was not only a celebration of maternal strength and dedication but also an opportunity to acknowledge their unique societal contributions.

The scholarship recipients include:

– Miracle Udemadu

– Neche Odinaka

– Nmasichukwu Nneji

– Angel Udeaniukwu

– Chukwuka Okafor

– Chukwudi Okafor

– Chimanda Ezechukwu

– Nmesoma Nneji

– Chikamso Chidi

– Nmesoma Emechebe

Among the 11 beneficiaries, two are secondary school students, while nine are enrolled in primary schools. Igbojindu emphasized the fundamental role of education in shaping the future for Nigeria’s youth, stating that the scholarships are designed to alleviate the financial burdens families face in providing quality education for their children.

“The Akpoazaa Foundation is devoted to empowering young minds, enabling them to realize their full potential,” he asserted. He added that the scholarships represent a small token of appreciation for mothers’ relentless commitment and sacrifices.

“The backbone of our families and communities, mothers deserve our utmost respect and gratitude,” Igbojindu remarked. He firmly believes that investing in the youth is, indeed, an investment in the future of both the community and the nation.

The event attracted participants from all walks of life in Ihiala, creating a vibrant atmosphere. Igbojindu also announced lifetime monthly stipends for Mrs. Elizabeth Okoye and presented cash gifts to several women present during the celebration.

“The Akpoazaa Group is dedicated to supporting education and uplifting families, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to succeed,” he stated. Igbojindu further committed to mobilizing support from well-meaning individuals in the community to eliminate financial obstacles to children’s education.

Reverend Solomon Enuma, Vicar of the Community Anglican Church, expressed his appreciation for Igbojindu’s generosity, offering prayers for his continued success and urging others to follow his example in empowering the youth.

Mrs. Elizabeth Okoye, visibly moved by the initiative, thanked Igbojindu for his impactful contributions to the community and prayed for God’s blessings and protection over him and his work.
