Foundation opens Scholarship For Students in Ilorin

An Ilorin based Non Governmental Organisation (NGO) Gobir Organization Foundation has concluded arrangements to offer scholarships for undergraduate studies.

The scholarships will cover indegenes of Kwara State who wish to study medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing science, physiotherapy, optometry, mathematics/ statistics and IT.

In a statement issued by the Press Secretary of the Gobir Organization Foundation, Abdulwahab Tajudeen, the scholarships are highly selective while only successful screened candidates will be contacted.

The Statement explained that applicants must be between 15 and 25 years of age, morally upright  as application runs from January 11, 2021 to February, 28, 2021.

The application covers exceptional prospective and existing undergraduate students of Kwara State origin at public universities across Nigeria who are to apply for the 2021 High Impact Scholarship (HIS).

Empowering the average

Gobir Organisation Foundation is an NGO committed to empowering an average native of Kwara State.

The organisation describes itself as providing contentment in the family, confidence in the society, competence in the workplace, compassion on the political front, and creativity in the drive towards actualising national growth and development.

“As part of our drive to accelerate development, Gobir Organization Foundation is focusing on Human Capital Development with the belief that good education will be an enabler to good lives and will allow people to impact their immediate society positively,” the statement explained further.

The statement  explained that the prospective undergraduate students who secures admission into the universities would be given sponsorship for the duration of their studies as the scholarship is need-based  and gender-balanced.

It further explained that students from indigent families and educationally disadvantaged rural communities across the 16 local government areas of Kwara State would be given priority and students with disabilities are also encouraged to apply.
