The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Anambra State Command, led by Sector Commander Corps Commander Joyce Nnennaya Alexander, has launched a new initiative aimed at enhancing standards in certified driving schools and promoting greater efficiency and transparency in the driver’s license acquisition process.
In collaboration with the Driving School Proprietors Association of Anambra State, the Command has produced banners listing the names of FRSC-certified driving schools, which will be displayed at all Driver’s License Centres across the state.
This was contained in a press release made available to newsmen in Awka, Anambra State capital by the Sector Public Education Officer
FRSC Anambra State Command, RC Margaret Onabe.
According to Commander Nnennaya, this initiative was designed to achieve several key objectives which includes: educating the public and prospective drivers on recognized and FRSC-approved driving schools, discouraging the patronage of unregistered or substandard driving schools, thereby enhancing compliance with the Driving School Standardisation Programme (DSSP), reducing the incidence of fake or compromised training certificates by increasing visibility and awareness of legitimate training sources, and promoting accountability and professionalism within the driving school sector in Anambra State
“With this initiative, the FRSC Anambra State Command aims to reinforce the integrity of the National Driver’s License Scheme (NDLS) and advance the Corps’ overall road safety objectives. This effort is expected to contribute significantly to reducing road traffic crashes and promoting safer roads across the state,” she expatiated.
