The FRSC Kwara State Sector Command has deployed 450 personnel, including officers, marshals, special marshals, and first responders, for the Eid-El-Kabir celebrations.
The operation includes 16 patrol vehicles, 2 power bikes, 4 ambulances, 4 light tow trucks, and 1 seventy-tonne tow truck to ensure road safety across Kwara State, North Central Nigeria.

Corps Commander Mufutau A. Irekeola said he has directed the deployment of personnel for traffic management at strategic locations in Ilorin and other major cities.
The special Eid-El-Kabir patrol will run from June 5 to June 11, 2025.
Irekeola, admonished motorists to obey traffic rules and regulations throughout the Eid-El-Kabir celebration.
He further urged all drivers to refrain from dangerous driving and wrongful overtaking, speeding, overloading, obstruction, the use of mobile phones while driving, operating mechanically deficient or rickety vehicles, route violations, driving with worn-out tyres, and maintaining proper lane discipline, among other safety practices.
In a bid to ensure the free flow of traffic and promote safe motoring before, during, and after the celebration, the Command has intensified its Public Enlightenment Campaign. This includes a Mega Rally across all interstate motor parks, Early Morning Cry initiatives, and advocacy visits to markets, churches, and mosques to sensitize the motoring public across Kwara State.
The Command is actively conducting Special Patrol Operations and traffic control measures to facilitate the unobstructed flow of traffic along the primary roadways.
While wishing the good people of the state a happy Eid-El-Kabir celebration, he advised motorists to drive with caution and arrive safely to their destinations.
