The new Corps Public Education Officer (CPEO), Assistant Corps Marshal (ACM), Jonas Agwu, indicated this during a familiarity meeting with the leadership of the NUJ FCT, led by the chairman, Mr. Patrick Osadebamwen.

Mr. Jonas said that most journalists collect information and pass it on to other people without imbibing it.

He said that there was a need to train journalists on the need to always keep their safety and the safety of others at the forefront of their minds when doing their jobs.

The CPEO condoled with the NUJ over the deaths of some journalists who lost their lives recently in road accidents.

In his response, the Chairman of the NUJ FCT promised to work with the Corps to achieve their goals.

He noted that the door of the Council is always open for collaboration.
