The G5 governors of the People’s Democratic Party PDP christened Integrity Group on Thursday, attended the re-election campaign flag-off of the Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, held at the ancient Mapo Hall, Ibadan, the state capital.
The group, dressed in a uniform of brown and white striped flowing gown and matching cap, arrived at the venue at about 1:03 PM in a black minibus amidst loud cheers from thousands of their supporters who had waited for hours to receive them.
The Governors, Nyesom Wike (Rivers), Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia), Samuel Ortom (Benue) and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu) arrived at the venue in the company of Governor Makinde, the host.
Also part of the entourage were former governors Olusegun Mimiko (Ondo) and Ayodele Fayose (Ekiti), who also wore the customised outfit worn by the G5 governors.
The wife of Governor Makinde, Tamunominini had earlier arrived at the venue in the company of a former Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Senator Monsurat Sunmonu.
The Deputy Governor, Bayo Lawal, had also arrived earlier.
Popular Yoruba musical artiste, Saheed Osupa, was on the bandstand to thrill the supporters as the governors arrived the venue and ascended the stage.
