Gabonese International Aubameyang Becomes UEFA Europa League’s Top Scorer
Gabonese International and Marseille forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has become the all-time top goalscorer in the UEFA Europa League, securing his 31st goal in the competition, at the Orange Velodrome in Marseille, France.
Aubameyang, 34, scored a goal in their Europa League Round of 16 second leg clash against Shakhtar Donetsk, making it his 31st goal in the UEFA Europa League. With the goal, he’s now the top scorer in the history of Europe’s second tier football competition. Marseille beat Shakhtar 3-1 to advance to the next round.
The achievement lifted Aubameyang past the previous record-holder, Radamel Falcao (30) and solidifies his status as one of the tournament’s fiercest strikers.
