The Managing Director of Nigeria’s Broadband Company, Galaxy Backbone, GBB, Professor Muhammad Bello Abubakar has congratulated the Nigerian Muslim faithful and other faithful across the world on this year’s Eid-el-Fitr festival.
In a Sallah message signed by the head of Media GBB Tasi’u Muhammad Pantami issued in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, he called on Nigerians to pray for a peaceful and successful transition of power in the country.
Prof. Abubakar reminded Muslims of the significance of Eid-el-Fitr which symbolised obedience to Allah, genuine sacrifice to and faith in their creator as well as the desire for peace.
He urged Nigerians not to cease praying for Nigeria as the purpose of Allah shall prevail for the country.
“Let me join other leaders in congratulating my fellow Muslims for successfully witnessing the end of this year’s Ramadan fasting period, a period that came with tough spiritual challenges that were designed to strengthen our Iman and Tawheed.
“One of the greatest blessings of Ramadan is that it helps us to get closer to our Creator, strengthen our faith, and promote a charity or the spirit of giving to the weak and poor. It is important that we continue to live with the spirit of love, peace, and harmony that Ramadan requires.”
“We must pray for God to enlarge His mercies and blessings upon the country” Professor Abubakar stated.
The Galaxy Backbone Boss also expressed hope that the spiritual lessons of Ramadan and the injunctions of Holy Prophets on self-denial, love, peaceful co-existence, fairness and justice will continue in the daily lives of the adherents.
“Muslims should use the Eid-el-fitr festival to rededicate ourselves to Allah and truly demonstrate the values recommended by our religion in our actions, activities, and transactions. Those who are fortunate to have should share with the less privileged and live happily and with tolerance for people of other faiths” he emphasised .
He further advised Muslims to always demonstrate these values in their daily activities while acknowledging that Islam is a religion of peace and love of Allah and fellow human beings.
Abubakar stressed that tolerance and peaceful co-existence should be a way of life for the citizens as the government attempts to find solutions to myriads of security and socioeconomic problems confronting the country.
He called Nigerians to pray for lasting peace and prosperity in Nigeria.
