Galaxy Backbone has reaffirmed its critical role in strengthening Nigeria’s digital infrastructure through resilient and cutting-edge technology.
The agency’s Executive Director of Digital Exploration and Technical Services, Mr Olumbe Akinkugbe, made this known while speaking as a panellist at the 2025 Nigeria Renewable Energy Innovation Forum (NREIF), themed “Boosting Local Innovation and Manufacturing in Clean Energy.”
The forum brought together key stakeholders from the energy and technology sectors to discuss pathways for an inclusive energy transition and explore the synergy between energy and digital connectivity in driving industrial growth.

Mr Akinkugbe highlighted the importance of data localisation, strategic partnerships, and private sector collaboration in building a secure, interconnected, and sustainable digital economy.
He reiterated Galaxy Backbone’s commitment to supporting Nigeria’s wider digital transformation agenda, adding that the agency remains focused on enabling innovation that complements the country’s renewable energy ambitions.
