Galaxy Backbone Unveils 2025-2028 Strategic Plan

Galaxy Backbone Limited (GBB), Nigeria’s digital infrastructure and services provider, has launched an ambitious four-year strategic plan for 2025–2028. The New Deal will accelerate the Integrated Digital Transformation Strategy (IDTS) for government and businesses nationwide.

The bold roadmap is designed to enhance digital service delivery, strengthen national connectivity, and support Nigeria’s vision of a fully integrated digital economy.

The 2025–2028 strategic plan was outlined in a press statement signed by the Head of Corporate Communications, Mr Chidi Okpala. The plan prioritises efficiency, innovation, and sustainability as the core drivers of the country’s digital transformation.

“Our goal is to build a secure, scalable, and resilient digital ecosystem that enhances governance, business operations, and economic growth.”

“At the heart of GBB’s 2025–2028 strategy are five transformative pillars aimed at positioning Nigeria as a leader in digital innovation and service delivery.”

These pillars include Resilient Digital Infrastructure, Integrated Digital Ecosystem, Innovative Service Delivery, Digital Leadership and Trust, and Financial Sustainability.

“At its core, this four-year roadmap is designed to enhance government efficiency, drive economic growth, and improve the digital experience for all Nigerians.”

To ensure successful implementation, GBB is actively engaging with:

  • Government agencies to accelerate policy-driven digital adoption.
  • Private sector players to create business-friendly digital solutions.
  • International and local partners to enhance technological capabilities by fostering strategic partnerships.

“Through our IDTS plan, we remain committed to driving Nigeria’s digital transformation with world-class infrastructure, secure connectivity, and innovative solutions that power national progress.”

“Through resilient digital infrastructure, integrated ecosystems, innovative service delivery, cybersecurity leadership, and financial sustainability, GBB is paving the way for a tech-driven future that benefits government institutions, businesses, and the entire Nigerian population,” the statement added.
