Ghanaian singer Moliy becomes Apple Music’s latest Africa recipient
Apple Music has announced Ghanaian born singer and songwriter Moliy, as their latest featured artist in its Africa Rising artist development program.
Apple music made this known on their social media handle.
Moliy reacted to the new development as she writes;
“What an honour it is to be the next Africa Rising artist. This moment right now is everything I’ve been praying for, from Ghana to Africa, from Africa to the whole world! I’m hoping this shows young girls everywhere that their dreams are valid, to be brave and not cower amongst any naysayers. Thank you for seeing and hearing me.”
The Ghanaian-born singer songwriter Molly Ama Montgomery famously known as Moliy is the latest featured artist in Africa Rising artist development program. Deeply impacted by her rich Ghanaian heritage, Moliy was inspired by the many, rich genres of Afrobeats, reggae, soul, jazz, and hip hop during her formative years while travelling between Accra, Ghana and Orlando, Florida. This prompted her to pursue a career in music.
