Girl-Child welfare: Anambra Government partners with Nollywood Stars

The honorable Commissioner for Women and Social Welfare, Honourable Ify Obinabo has assured of partnership with Nigeria’s veteran movie actors on ways to support, educate and promote women and girls through the movie industry.
Ify Obinabo recently made this known in Awka, Anambra State Capital, during a meeting with the movie stars, Ngozi Ezeonu and Ebere Okaro-Onyiuke.
According to the statement released by her media secretary, Chidinma Ikeanyionwu, the Commissioner assured veterans
Ngozi Ezeonu and Ebere Okaro-Onyiuke, of her readiness in partnering with the movie industry where plights of women and children would be thoroughly projected thereby sensitizing the world on the rights of women and children.
During their speech presentation, the screen goddesses explained that their purpose of visit is to collaborate with the Women and Social Welfare Ministry in enlightening members of the public and the world by extension, laws protecting women through their profession.They vowed to uplift the rights of women and children being trampled underfoot globally.
