The Gombe State House of Assembly has approved the extension of tenure and reappointment of the eleven Local Government Caretaker Chairmen from June to December 2023.
The approval was given after due deliberation during a special sitting on a letter sent to the house by Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya.
The Member Representing Yamaltu East Constituency, Mr. Adamu Saleh Pata, who moved the motion, said there was the need for continuity in any governance and urged his fellow legislators to give it a speedy approval.
