Mr  Magaji said The personnel cost for 2025 marked a 10.31% increase compared to the N29.22 billion allocated in 2024, attributing this to the implementation of a new minimum wage of N70,000 in the state.

He announced that overhead costs would gulp 38.08 billion naira, representing 10.29% of the total budget.

According to him, this represents a 22.72% increase from 2024.

He gave residents the assurances that the debt servicing figure was still within the acceptable range, as the Debt Management Office allows states to borrow up to 40% of their budget.

“At 10%, Gombe is managing its finances responsibly, borrowing only for capital projects to enhance infrastructure and public services,” Mr Magaji stated.
