Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State has approved the formation of committees for the 2025 Ramadan Palliative Distribution across the state, to ease the economic burden on residents during the holy month of Ramadan.

The Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, said the governor’s directive was intended to provide the much-needed support to citizens as they observe Ramadan.

He said to ensure the effective and transparent distribution of relief materials, the newly constituted committees would consist of a State Coordinator, Local Government Coordinators, and Ward Distribution Committees, with representation from government officials, traditional rulers, civil society organisations, and community stakeholders.
