The initiative, which kicked off earlier this week, has drawn a positive response from constituents who are grateful for the accessible medical care. Honourable Isa JC expressed his commitment to supporting healthcare amid economic difficulties, emphasizing the outreach’s role in addressing urgent health needs.
“We are conducting vital screenings, managing blood pressure, and performing surgeries as needed,” he said. “We aim to carry out at least 500 surgeries to reduce health burdens in our communities. People are struggling, and we are stepping in to help.”
Leading the medical team, Dr. Gift Bawa highlighted the programme’s impact, sharing that the team of over 14 specialists has treated common conditions such as malaria, hypertension, gastritis, and peptic ulcers.
“The patient response has been encouraging and heartwarming,” Dr. Bawa said. “We’re grateful to Honourable Isa JC for his steadfast commitment to this cause. It’s a challenging but rewarding effort.”
Community members like Kari Adamu Maijoro expressed their appreciation for Honourable Isa JC’s dedication. “We’re grateful for his efforts. He has invested a lot to ensure the well-being of his constituency,” Maijoro remarked.
The outreach also includes preventive care such as blood pressure and blood sugar screenings, aimed at helping residents manage health proactively. Honourable Isa JC noted the broader impact of his constituency projects, which span health, education, and infrastructure.
“We’ve addressed various community needs—over 20 classrooms, clean water projects, and clinics are all part of our efforts to support our people,” he said.
One beneficiary, Aishatu Mohammed, expressed her gratitude after receiving treatment and financial support. “May God bless him and elevate him,” she said. “This support has made a huge difference for my family.”
The outreach programme, which runs through Thursday, continues to offer treatments, consultations, and medications, bringing much-needed relief to the communities.
