The Gombe State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, has begun a three-day in-house sensitization workshop for its Personnel.

The workshop is focusing on combating job racketeering and financial fraud, following the directives of the NSCDC Commandant General, Ahmed Abubakar Audi, which underscored the Corps’ commitment to upholding integrity and professionalism.

The workshop also aimed at educating and equipping personnel with the knowledge to identify and prevent financial fraud and job racketeering to ensure that the NSCDC remained a beacon of trust and accountability.

Declaring the workshop open, the State Commandant, CC Gyama Gyawiya, emphasized the importance of the training in addressing the prevalence of financial crimes and fraudulent practices within the Corps.

Mr. Gyawiya said the workshop was a response to the growing concerns about ignorance and a lack of accountability among personnel regarding the offenses.

“I urge you all to be professional, careful, and vigilant in your dealings,” CC Gyawiya said.

He reiterated the Corps’ zero-tolerance stance on fraud and corruption, urging personnel to adhere strictly to the principles of integrity, honesty, and transparency.

Mr. Gyawiya called on the officers to uphold the values to maintain public trust and confidence in the Corps.
