Gombe State Reassigns Permanent Secretaries To New Portfolios

The Governor of Gombe State, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has approved the redeployment of several Permanent Secretaries within the state civil service to boost administrative efficiency and improve governance.

The announcement, made by the Head of Civil Service, Ahmed Kasimu Abdullahi, stated that the reshuffling aligns with the government’s strategy to enhance service delivery and accelerate development.

The reassigned Permanent Secretaries and their new portfolios are as follows:

1.   Yambiyu Idris Buba – From the Ministry of Works, Housing, and Transport to the Ministry of Higher Education.

2.   Danladi Adamu – From the Ministry of Water, Environment, and Forest Resources to the Ministry of Works, Housing, and Transport.

3.   Modi Shelphidi – From the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development to the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Welfare.

4.  Jidaya Abba – From the Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs to the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Tourism.

5.  Muhammed Ibrahim Jalo – From the Ministry of Health to the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, and Cooperatives.

6.  Dr. Ibrahim Yakubu – From the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, and Cooperatives to the Ministry of Health.

7.   Sa’adatu Bome Ishaya – From the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Welfare to the State Independent Electoral Commission (SIEC).

8.  Ahmed Yunusa Muhammed – From the Ministry of Higher Education to the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development.

9.  Abubakar Babayo Hassan – From the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Tourism to the Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs.

10. Muhammad Bello Abubakar Kumo – Appointed from his previous role as Liquidator/Sole Administrator of GOSIPDC to the Ministry of Water Resources, Environment, and Forest Resources.

Governor Yahaya has expressed his confidence in the abilities of the newly posted Permanent Secretaries, urging them to leverage their experience to achieve the administration’s goal of delivering enhanced services to the people of Gombe State.
