The Wife of the Governor of Anambra State, Nonye Soludo, says the administration of her husband, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, is leading a youth-based reform that aims to make Anambra Youths important voices in the present and future governance.
Mrs Soludo, who stated this in Awka, emphasized that youths possess the best potential to transform any society, explaining that Anambra Youths in particular have important roles in the quest for a livable and prosperous state.
She noted that Soludo’s administration has incorporated purposeful youth-driven policies and brought young people closer to decision-making round tables, thereby arming them with a better focus on the kind of Anambra State that tomorrow’s generation would want to exist in.
The governor’s wife stated that the appointment of youths to head key public units in the present administration is a clear demonstration of strong faith in what they possess, including their leadership, management skills and abilities.
She further stated that with today’s youths comparatively adapting to changing scientific, technological and management systems, there is a whole lot they can offer to progressive governance, like the one currently operating in Anambra State.
According to her, there is a need for the Nigerian government to recognise youths and women by creating more seats for them in power adding that the present government in the state is also harnessing the potential of women in governance
