Governor Abdulrazaq, APC Chairman Congratulate Kwara’s New Council Bosses

The Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has congratulated all the newly elected 16 local government chairpersons and 193 councillors on their deserving victories at the Saturday’s election.
The Governor also congratulates all the leaders and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on the successful outing at the polls, which he linked to the strides of the government, the support of every party member and stakeholders, and sustained relationships that the party has built with the people of the state.
Peaceful and hugely
Governor Abdulrazaq in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye Commended the Kwara State Independent Electoral Commission and the security agencies for the peaceful and hugely successful exercise.
The Governor expressed confident that insights and experiences from the exercise will help to improve future elections in the state and across the country, especially that leadership of other states’ electoral commissions observed the exercise across the state.
Governor Abdulrazaq again Commended Kwarans for their large turnouts for the election, their support for the APC, and their decent conducts while it lasted.
He thanked all the political parties for their impressive participation and sportsmanship.

 

Impressive development projects

In a related message, the  Chairman of the All Progressives Congress Party (APC) in the State, Prince Sunday Fagbemi  congratulated the 16 newly elected council chairmen and all the 193 councilors in the state.

Hailing the outcome as a triumph of democracy and acknowledging the trust placed in the APC by the people of the State,  he attributed the victory to the impressive development projects executed by the administration of Governor AbdulRazaq in the state and his commitment to sustaining development across the state.

The chairman commended the governor for giving the Kwara State Independent Electoral Commission (KWSIEC) support needed to conduct free, fair, and credible elections.

He therefore encouraged the newly elected chairmen to ensure even development across all communities, emphasizing the importance of fulfilling their campaign promises to maintain the support of the people.

Fagbemi appreciated all agencies of governments involved in the poll as well as all the progressive opposition parties that participated in the election for ensuring a peaceful election devoid of planned violence by the main opposition party,  PDP.

He applauded the Party Executives and members across the 193 Wards for the political sagacity deployed in ensuring landslide victory for the party at the poll.

He similarly congratulated  the leader of the party and the state governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, for providing a level playing ground for all candidates irrespective of their party affiliations.

While rejoicing with the elected chairmen on the sweet victory, he implored them to carry out their duties with high sense of commitments and follow the footstep of the party by providing them with the dividends of democracy.
