The Kwara State Governor, North Central Nigeria, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has called on residents of the state to remain steadfast in their support for his administration as the 2026 calendar year begins.
He pledged that the government will continue its drive to deliver lasting legacies and inclusive development.
In his New Year message to the people of the state, the governor congratulated Kwarans on the dawn of 2026, expressing optimism that the year would usher in fresh opportunities and greater accomplishments for individuals and the state at large.
“I send warm congratulations to the people of Kwara State on the dawn of 2026 calendar year. I pray that this new year heralds new, positive beginnings and greater accomplishments for all of us,” AbdulRazaq said.
AbdulRazaq commended residents for their support throughout the past year, noting that their solidarity had been central to the achievements recorded by his administration despite challenges.
“I thank Kwarans for standing by our administration this past year. You kept faith with us through the thick and thin. Your firm support and solidarity have been the nucleus of our achievements,” the governor stated.
AbdulRazaq said the collective efforts of government and citizens had enabled the state to record progress in development and transformation, adding that his administration remains committed to building a state that works for all.
As the new year unfolds, the governor urged residents to stay the course with his government, assuring them that its developmental agenda would continue without interruption.
“Our efforts to bequeath great legacies for Kwara and build a state that works for all will continue unstopped,” he said.
The governor concluded by wishing the people of the state a fruitful year ahead, describing 2026 as one that holds promise for further growth and progress.
“May this year be a remarkable one for us. Happy New Year, Kwarans,” he added.
