Governor Advises Kwara State Lawmakers to Prioritise Unity

The Kwara State Governor  AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has congratulated members of the Kwara State House of Assembly on their inauguration into the 10th parliament.

 

The Governor commended the House members for the smooth election of a new leadership under Yakubu Danladi-Salihu, who was returned to his seat unopposed as Speaker.

 

“This seamless transition, including the re-election of the Speaker and the emergence of  Emmanuel Ojo Oyebode as the Deputy Speaker, speaks to the maturity of the lawmakers and their commitment to stability, collective prosperity, and growth of our state,” according to a Government House statement issued by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye.

 

The Governor urged the lawmakers to continue to prioritise the public good and the unity of the people of the state in the discharge of their legislative responsibilities.

 

He prayed to God to guide the lawmakers as they assume the duties of making laws for the good governance of Kwara State.
