Affront to democracy
In a swift reaction however, Senator Abba Moro of Benue South Senatorial District and Senate Minority Leader, strongly denounces and rejects the recent Local Government elections in Benue State, calling it a sham and an affront to democracy.
He claims election materials and officials were absent from polling units, with ballots being allegedly thumb-printed in favour of APC candidates in the premises of party leaders.
Senator Moro expressed disappointment in Governor Hyacinth Alia for failing to uphold truth and due process, and vows to challenge the election outcome in court to ensure a free, fair, and credible process for the electorate.
