Governor Bago Inaugurates Rural Electrification Project

The Governor of Niger State, North Central Nigeria, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has inaugurated a power station under the rural electrification project in Paiko, Paikoro Local government area of the state.

The project, spearheaded by Umar Nasiru, the member representing Paikoro at the State House of Assembly, aims to connect Barikishi, Kopango, and Wambe communities in the council area to the power grid.

Governor Bago commended the lawmaker’s initiative, describing it as a shining example of the effective and judicious use of public funds allocated to him. He emphasized the significance of the project in fostering development and improving the standard of living in the benefiting communities.

“The inauguration of this power station is a major milestone in boosting rural electrification in this local government area,” the Governor stated.

He also urged residents of the benefiting communities to take ownership of the project by ensuring the power station is protected from vandalism and maintained for long-term use.

This development is expected to improve access to electricity, enhance economic activities, and contribute to the overall well-being of the communities in Paikoro.
