The Executive Governor of Bayelsa state, Senator Douye Diri has commended the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC ) in Nigeria for its tireless efforts in ensuring national unity and integration.
The Governor gave the commendation when he paid an unscheduled visit to the NYSC Orientation camp in Kaiama, Bayelsa State, Southern Nigeria.
He was accompanied by top elected and appointed government functionaries.
Addressing the corps members, he welcomed them to the state and also noted the immerse contributions of the scheme to the nation.
He informed the camp participants that the next orientation exercise will hold at the permanent Orientation camp, located at Boro Town.
The State Coordinator, Mrs Ojugo Elizabeth Iyowuna led all camp officials and corps members to receive the Governor.
The State Governor also inspected facilities at the permanent camp and directed speedy completion of work before next orientation course.
