Governor Condemns Recent Kidnappings in Niger State

Niger state Governor, in North central Nigeria, Abubakar Sani Bello has condemned the kidnap of the Permanent Secretary for state’s Ministry of Transportation, Dr. Ibrahim Garba Musa and his son in Zungeru area of the State.

The Governor, in a statement to Voice Of Nigeria through his spokesperson, Mary Berje described the act as evil and inhuman.

Governor Sani Bello also decried the barbaric and atrocious acts of bandits in Shiroro and Munya Local Government Areas of the recently.

Report shows that bandits attacked kachiwe community in Munya local government of the state where many people were slaughtered, burnt and some kidnapped, while houses and food set ablaze.

Curtailing the situation
There is the urgent need for total overhauling of the strategy of security aparatus, with the recent turn of event in the acts of banditry,”governor Bello stated.

The Governor who maintained that the security operatives were capable of curtailing the situation, called for more support by the general public with useful and timely information.

He then prayed for the repose of the souls of those killed, and prayed for quick recovery of those injured and for sl inafe return of the kidnapped.

The Niger State Governor however, re-assured the people of his administration’s unrelenting efforts to address insecurity in the State.
