Members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Adamawa State have expressed strong confidence in Governor Ahmadu Fintiri’s ability to deliver on his new role as Chairman of the PDP National Convention Planning Committee.
Governor Fintiri was appointed to the position by the PDP’s National Executive Committee (NEC) during its 93rd meeting held in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.
Speaking to Voice of Nigeria, the Chairman of Guyuk Local Government Area, Mr. Kassah Shallom, revealed that all 21 Local Government Chairmen in the state are fully backing Governor Fintiri to succeed in the task ahead of the party’s upcoming national convention.
“Governor Fintiri’s hard work has brought pride to Adamawa State, especially among the political class. His exemplary lifestyle and leadership are worthy of emulation,” Shallom stated.
He added that the governor’s prior experience as chairman during the last national convention has prepared him to exceed expectations this time around.
“Fintiri is a peacemaker, known for his cordial and friendly relationship with people. His inclusive style of leadership has strengthened political unity in Adamawa,” Shallom said.
According to him, the PDP remains the dominant political force in the state, with no signs of defection or dissent.
“In Adamawa State, PDP is the only party. Everyone stands firmly behind the governor because of his good work,” he emphasised.
He also noted that under Governor Fintiri’s leadership, the LGA Chairmen in the state have become more united and empowered than ever before. “No one is left behind,” he added.
Governor Fintiri, upon his appointment, pledged to deliver the “best convention ever,” aiming to reposition the PDP for national relevance and prepare it for future electoral victories.
The formation of the National Convention Planning Committee marks a crucial step in the party’s efforts to revitalize its structures and reassert its influence across Nigeria.
Governor Fintiri’s appointment has been met with congratulatory messages from political figures across the country.
