As the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Convention draws nearer, Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano state inaugurated all party elected officials across the 44 local governments and 484 wards in the state.
The APC officials inaugurated across the state includes; 1,188 local government officials and 13,068 officials for the wards.
The inauguration took place zonally, starting from Kano South Senatorial District to Kano Central Senatorial District and concluded with Kano North Senatorial District.
In each of the zonal inauguration ceremonies, governor Ganduje urged the officials to do everything possible to strengthen the party at their levels.
“You should strive hard and make our party wax stronger. Kano being the biggest democracy in Nigeria, we have every reason to set a pace for the survival and strengthening of democracy in the country. You should go to all nooks and crannies in the state and make sure that our party remains strong,” said the governor.
He urged them to be confident in their service as duly elected officials of the party, whose election was authenticated by the normal process of the party’s election procedures and reconfirmed by the Appeal Court.
In the series of inaugurations, Kano south comprising 16 local governments, had 432 officials inducted, besides 4,644 party officials from 172 wards.
In Kano Central, with 15 local governments, 405 officials have been inaugurated and 4,644 party officials for the 172 wards.
With 13 local governments, Kano North had 351 party officials and 3,780 officials from 140 wards inaugurated.
Governor Ganduje assured all party officials of his unwavering support to continue with the excellent work of in-building stronger loyalty and commitment to the party as they started.
