Governor Makinde Submits Names of Additional Commissioner Nominees to Assembly

The Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde has submitted names of two additional commissioner nominees to the state House of Assembly.
The commissioner nominees, as announced by the House are; Lanlate-born Miss Wasilat Adegoke Adefemi and Dr Oluwaserimi Adewumi Ajetunmobi.
The Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly, Adebo Ogundoyin acknowledged and read the governor’s letter on Tuesday, during the House plenary.
Governor Makinde, according to the letter, said the two personalities had been considered worthy of appointment as commissioners by the state government.
He stated: “I therefore request for the screening and approval of the honourable house for the screening of Miss Adegoke Wasilat Adefemi and Dr Oluwaserimi Adewumi Ajetunmobi to serve as Commissioners.”
Ogundoyin said there were some ministries that were yet to have commissioners, adding that the new nominees may be screened on Wednesday by the lawmakers.
Governor Makinde’s request had finally put to rest the speculations in some quarters as to who the Commissioner nominee from the Ibarapa East Local Government is.
Governor Makinde had, in July, swore in 16 commissioners, leaving out two remaining ministries which were yet to have commissioners.
