Governor Nwifuru inspects Projects across Ebonyi state

The Governor of Ebonyi State in Southeast Nigeria, Mr. Francis Nwifuru, has embarked on the massive project supervision of the People’s Charter of Needs in the State, as part of his activities to mark one year in office.

The People’s Charter of Needs is the leadership mantra of the present Administration in the State.

The Governor supervised the Chuba Okadigbo International Airport Abakaliki, where he said that the asphalting of the runway was reviewed upwards to a tune of 17.3 billion Naira.

Ebonyi State Commissioner for aviation and Transport Technology, Mrs. Ngozi Obichukwu, applauded Governor Francis Nwifuru for the upward review of the contract saying it was a result of inflation and cost of construction materials in the country.

Obichukwu who spoke to Journalists, shortly after the inspection of the Chuba Okadigbo airport runway by Governor Francis Nwifuru said the governor is a man that doesn’t compromise quality in his work.

“His determination to get the airport working is already assured,” she added.

The Aviation commissioner further noted that the governor’s prudence and transparency in the utilization of funds to execute quality projects, will earn him second term in office.

Other Projects supervised by the Governor were the ongoing Palaces of Ebonyi traditional rulers, Izo and Amaze housing estate for internally displaced persons in Ezilo and Ezza crisis, the ongoing 39 Special Secondary Schools,  Nkaliki road by Chiboy motors and Ogbaga road.

The Governor also inspected the rehabilitation of the Ebonyi State pipe Production company among others.

The Governor however warned contractors to put more effort in hastening the projects.
