Governor Soludo Extends Support To Borno State Amid Flood Crisis

Anambra State Governor, Professor Charles Soludo, has embarked on a compassionate visit to Maiduguri to extend his heartfelt condolences to Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Zulum, in the wake of the catastrophic floods that have ravaged the region.
The collapse of the Alau Dam has left a trail of destruction, displacing numerous families and plunging over one million individuals into turmoil. Governor Soludo’s presence in Maiduguri not only symbolized solidarity with the people of Borno but also underscored his commitment to understanding the gravity of the humanitarian crisis.
Accompanied by a high-level delegation comprising officials from the Federal Ministry of Health, the Executive Director of the Primary Health Development Agency, and representatives from key organizations such as the World Health Organization, UNICEF, and the Emeka Offor Foundation, Governor Soludo emphasized the importance of collective action in times of adversity.
“In times of calamity like this, it is crucial for us to stand together as a community, offering our support, compassion, and resources to help rebuild lives and restore hope,” expressed Governor Soludo during his visit.
Furthermore, Governor Soludo seized the opportunity to pay a courtesy visit to the Palace of the Shehu of Borno, where he extended prayers for strength and solace to the affected individuals as they navigate the arduous path to recovery.
Governor Soludo’s visit not only underscores the significance of unity and empathy in times of crisis but also emphasizes the ongoing need for unwavering support for the people of Borno as they strive to overcome the aftermath of the disastrous floods.
